Sensex flat with positive bias


The benchmark Sensex was marginally green in the opening trade amid a choppy trade, following mildly positive global cues. But theNifty has still been in a tight range of 5620-5650.
Among frontliners, Reliance Industries, Cairn India, Ambuja Cements, Sesa Goa, Tata Steel, JSPL, Bharti Airtel, TCS, HCL Tech, ITC and DLF were witnessing buying interest.
However, Sterlite Industries, ICICI Bank, SBI and Reliance Communications were on sellers' radar.
At 9:21 hours IST, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading at 18,771, up 47 points and the 50-share NSE Nifty went up 10 points to 5,635.
The CNX Midcap gained 19 points at 8,100, About 557 shares advanced as against 327 shares declined on National Stock Exchange.
